Behavioral Challenges in Children

  • Participants will be able to identify and describe the root cause model of challenging behavior with regard to: (a) characteristics and assumptions, (b) approaches to intervention, and (c) strengths and limitations. 

  • Participants will be able to identify, discriminate and discuss sociological, cultural, and economic differences as they relate to identification of behavioral challenges. 

  • Participants will be able to outline the critical components of a behavioral program for children with lying, stealing or running away behaviors.
