Problem Solving and Solution-Focused Interventions

• Participants will be able to implement problem-solving strategies and solution-focused interventions; can apply these strategies to families' problems and needs; and can teach family members to use problem-solving methods to identify and implement constructive solutions. 

• Participants will learn the technique of goal negotiation and miracle questioning.

• Participants will learn how to use exception-finding questions to view pre-problem past.

• Participants will learn how to use exceptions as a place to start with challenges

• Participant will learn and practice how to use scaling questions.
